Our Process

Initial Inquiry or Referral

Patients may request an appointment directly, and referring providers may submit a referral via phone or secure email. Our team promptly reviews each inquiry to determine appropriate services and next steps.

Insurance Verification & Scheduling

Patients may include their insurance information at the time of requesting an appointment. All insurance benefits are verified prior to scheduling to confirm coverage, eligibility, and any applicable patient responsibility.

If insurance coverage is not available or is out of network, self-pay options may be offered. Payment expectations and available options will be reviewed in advance of services to ensure transparency and continuity of care.

Comprehensive Evaluation & Individualized Treatment Plan

The first appointment includes a thorough psychiatric assessment to understand symptoms, history, and treatment goals. When therapy is indicated, options for integrated psychiatric and therapeutic care are discussed.

An evidence-based treatment plan is developed collaboratively, which may include psychiatric medication management, therapy, or a combination of both. Patients are involved in shared decision-making throughout the process.

Ongoing Care & Follow-Up

MindMend emphasizes continuity of care through regular follow-ups, clear communication, and accessible telehealth services for patients across Maryland and Washington, DC.
